Volunteers are a vital part of our church community! God has given each of us unique gifts and abilities, and there are many different ways to serve. Click the button below to open the schedule spreadsheet. Find an empty box and type in your name to sign up. There are tabs at the bottom for future months. If you are interested in volunteering, but haven't been trained in an area, just email office@lordoflifekenosha.org or see Angie or Connie from the church office and we'll get the ball rolling!
The Ladies of Lydia meet weekly throughout the year. Sharing their gifts, they make numerous items including quilts, chemo hats and walker bags that are given away to benefit ministries in our community and beyond.
Our parish nurse, Sue Q. leads this team in reaching out with the caring, healing touch of Jesus Christ. Care Ministers (CMTs) visit the sick and homebound, bringing encouragement, prayer and the sacrament of Holy Communion. The Health Ministry Team sponsors events like blood drives, guest speakers, KEEP Screenings, and blood pressure checks.
Through the Shalom Center, Lord of Life helps prepare and serves a meal for people in need at the Shalom Center Soup Kitchen on the 2nd Tuesday of every other month (even months).
We partner with the other ELCA churches in Kenosha to support the work of the ELCA Outreach Center. The Center provides GED classes, an after school program to kids, a clothing closet and personal care items, Bible study, and many other outreach oriented programs. Monthly collections throughout the year help to supply the center with necessary items to help the community: diapers, personal care items, school supplies, etc.
