confirmation at lord of life

Thinking through, practicing, strengthening, and owning one's faith is an important part of growing up. Confirmation/Affirmation of Baptism preparation  at Lord of Life is designed to help parents and sponsors fulfill the promises they made at the baptisms of their children.

Confirmation is a 2+ year program at Lord of Life.  Students can begin Confirmation when they start 6th grade. Regardless of their grade, students will spend their first two years attending weekly meetings on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  There are four broad areas covered over those two years including the Old and New Testament, Lutheran living and Lutheran history. 

During their 3rd year of Confirmation, students will attend meetings one time per month, meet multiple times with a mentor, complete community service hours, log sermon notes, and present to the congregation a faith statement.
